Human Resources Coordinator

Working directly for the CEO, this day-to-day Human Resources Coordinator role will successfully support all Emelar staff for Human Resources needs.

Areas of responsibility:

Recruitment and On-Boarding – 25%

  • Assist in the recruiting process for all roles
  • Work with executives to create success profiles, and develop talent pipeline for all roles
  • Develop interview schedules and coordinate interviews between candidates and Emelar staff
  • Promote Emelar as a workplace of choices on social media platforms and to candidates
  • Establish and communicate new hire orientation schedules, process all new hire paperwork and set up employees in HRIS system
  • Develop on-boarding plans, track progress and work with leadership to ensure successful onboarding of all new hires

Benefits Administration – 25%

  • Provide administrative support for insurance plans including participant enrollments and terminations; process required paperwork to ensure accurate record keeping and proper payroll deductions
  • Process 401k participant paperwork, such as enrollments, withdrawals, rollovers and distributions
  • Process monthly insurance billings within payment deadlines, review billings for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies with carriers
  • Coordinate open enrollment for insurance benefits during 4th quarter of the year; accurately and in a timely manner, submit employee census data to insurance broker at renewal; assist with communicating changes to employees and arrange for on-site presentations by broker agency and insurance provider
  • Help employees understand the features and services of their insurance benefits by generating and distributing What’s New pieces on a quarterly basis

Payroll Administrator – 20%

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on-time, every time
  • Calculate bi-weekly and quarterly commissions and bonuses for payroll processing
  • Run 401k reports and upload the remittance report to TransAmerica within specified time period
  • Become familiar with custom reporting in Salesforce and process payroll reports as needed, such as for the annual 401k testing

Building Culture – 10%

  • Working with executives, drive the “Lion, Lamb and Samurai” ethos deep into the company culture
  • Collaborate with others to develop culture-shaping programs to reinforce Emelar as an employer of choice
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop training programs with key goals and measurements for all staff
  • Assist technical staff in building an employee community (portal) on the Salesforce platform, develop and own content on community and be a resource for answering questions

Other administrative support as need – 20%
