Embracing Salesforce Einstein

Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love AI

After months of teasing plans to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into it’s #1 CRM platform, Salesforce finally unveiled Einstein to the world in March, 2017. Touted as a “personal data scientist”, Salesforce Einstein incorporates AI, predictive modeling, machine learning, and customized analytics into its existing platform. In simpler terms, Salesforce Einstein uses AI to increase the chances of producing a sale by determining which leads are most likely to achieve that goal and the steps to get there (i.e. follow up calls and emails, making sure that you’re talking to someone who is in a position to make buying decisions). The result is a radical transformation in the way data is used to shape sales outcomes. Rather than relying on ‘gut instincts’, Salesforce Einstein allows its users to focus on closing sales by simply examining all available data for you.

Like all Salesforce products and services, Einstein is robust, with a bit of a learning curve. While we’d love to geek out on the nitty-gritty of Einstein’s capabilities, here’s a quick summary of some of the highlights we found.

Data goes in—automatically.

  • Salesforce Einstein captures lead data and, with the click of a button, enters it into Salesforce for you automatically.  The beginning of the end for data entry!

Analysis comes out—automatically.

  • Salesforce Einstein uses customer data to generate predictions, offer insights, and give recommendations on leads to pursue and follow up with.
  • If you’re already a Salesforce user, no need to re-enter your existing customer data – those records have been maintained and fully integrated into Einstein’s algorithm.

Tailored Predictions

  • The more data entered, the better model created. That translates into focused, more meaningful interactions with customers. It’s the equivalent of having a dedicated data scientist working for your team 24/7.

Good stuff, right? If you’d like to discuss strategies for maximizing Salesforce Einstein’s capabilities, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a line and we’ll get in touch.
